The technology behind it
Creating a drink that truly captures the essence of gin flavours isn't an easy task.
That's why we've spent years perfecting a way to not just recreate the taste, but also the feeling and 360º experience of gin.
Our innovative molecular isolation technology allows us to capture the specific flavours want, no need of having just "ginger" in your drink when you can have the part of ginger wich tastes "earthy" without any of the unwanted acidity or bitterness.
So, forget about traditional distillation methods. At Amazonia Spirits we use cutting-edge technology that allows us to have a perfectly balanced flavour that recreates the taste and even afterburn of drinking gin.
Get to know the founders
Vincent and Sophie met at Elon Musk 2021 Not-a-Boring competition. In this engineering student contest they participated and won with their team from the Technical University of Munich.
Sophie cannot drink alcohol due to health reasons, and it was always a bummer in events and parties, the peer presure around alcohol drinking was always strong, and the alternatives not great. They decided to make a change. After two years of research and tech development they managed to mimic the authentic taste of gin, and the burn of alcohol - while being 100% alcohol-free
Sophie Defauw
Born in Colombia, she studied in the University of Florence, Italy, then in the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany and currently is pursuing a certification at the University of Salamanca, Spain, to be Professor in Innovation. She has won several international hackathons and engineering competitions such as the Elon Musk 2021 Not-a-Boring Competition, the Vodafone Italy hack 202 and the open design and manufacturing award 2019. Also she has done a TEDx talk.
Vincent Adler
Born in Germany, he studied in the Technical University of Munich a mixed degree of Management and Engineering. In the last years he has won the Elon Musk 2021 Not-a-boring Competiton and the German DPG-Abiturpreis prize for physics. Also he was awarded the ASSIST international scholarship.
